Fast Feasts
Fast Feasts is a mobile food pantry delivering food throughout the Quad City Area to those in need. With the help of our amazing volunteers, we get to work to help out the community. The Affects of Covid-19
The world has changed in an extreme way in last couple months. The following are just some of the many ways that Fast Feasts and the happy lunchbox have adapted to AVOID spreading of Covid-19. We continue to wear gloves and masks while HANDLING produce, or when we portion out food. In ADDITION, we use SEPARATE gloves while HANDLING dry goods and unpacking THE van. Even though we love our puppy mascot, she is kept away from the food. Our VOLUNTEERS continue to wash their hands and SWITCH gloves every time they come in to help us out. We are careful to stay six feet away from EACH OTHER to flatten the curve. We know that many families relied on the SCHOOL lunch programs THROUGH the schools and often throughout the summer as well. With the impacts of COVID-19 hitting the schools hard, they may no longer provide the same lunch program they provided in the past YEARS. Some SCHOOLS are SWITCHING to PROVIDING for only a month, while others are not providing the program at all. If your family was impacted by this change, please send an email to one of our programs. We will be HAPPY to help you get the right amount of food for you and your family. Continue to STAY safe and follow GUIDELINES. We will get through this tough time together!
