I don't understand why it is necessary to make using a computer so hard. In this day and age, it should be nothing to get into your own computer. The fact of the matter it is easier for others to get into your computer, then it is for you. Passwords, really! I understand the reason behind them but come on. Do you need to have passwords so complexed that you can't remember them unless you write it down? Then you can't remember where you put them. Recently I had someone put money into a palpay account (yes I know it's backward) but now find I can't remember the password to access the account. So there it sits for the last few weeks. Trying several option, I find myself no closer to the money. I'm sure a younger person with more computer savvy would find this funny but I'm not amused. No wonder the older generation find computers confusing and scary. I'm not stupid nor am I afraid to use a computer. In fact I was going to be a computer programmer when I was younger. Then I realized this was not rewarding for me. With the information I did learn about programs I know it is not impossible to create a better computer program that would be more user friendly. If they did that, then anyone could use them. Wait that 's the way it should be, right? Just having a job that no one can do but you doesn't really give you job security.
Jobs should be user friendlier too. When I find I can't go into do my job; it shouldn't ruin someone else's day, because they can't figure out how to do your job. A simple "how to" job description and easy labeling system would make it more bearable for them . Why punish them because you can't come in to do your own work? I realize I'm an organization freak, still it is silly not to make your job as simple as possible for someone else to do it. Most companies don't really care if the new person has to struggle to do a job, if you call in or even get replaced. So stop stressing the next employee with a complicated process to do a job. You don't want to have to go into your next job that way do you? Job security is a thing of the past. If they can hire someone for less money or part time instead of full time with benefits and insurance, they will. It is time to demand programs that are user friendly for all of us. Some day you too may be too old to understand the newest languages of computers.
I'm ready for the new centaury where we all have a chance to do jobs that we can excel at, and not be deterred by a silly computer program that only the programmer understands.
